Even Apple News is full of snippets on upgrading to Catalina with caution. I just recently upgraded to macOS Catalina, and needed to flash a microSD card for my Raspberry Pi. Perhaps we will know better in coming days. It is the successor to macOS Catalina and is the first. So I moved things over to Mojave laptop and it worked as usual. More than 30 alternatives to choose: Mac Linux USB Loader, DiskMaker X, Install Disk Creator and. In fact I couldn’t even make a Catalina bootable usb on a upgraded laptop. Mac OS Catalina 10.15 seems to be PREVENTING access Documents and Desktop folders. Now luckily I didn’t upgrade one of my laptops and it’s still on Mojave.there no issues at all. Workaround fixed it for me swell on OS X Catalina. This does resolve some issues but eventually SUDO is must from what I understood. This does make sense from a little experiment.I moved the ISO inside etcher.right click etcher and show contents.so path would look like this /Applications/balenaEtcher/Contents/MacOS/xxxx.iso. And Sandboxing has been made a lot stricter. your help/clarification on this matter would be appreciated. +1 same issue reported in 2933 (comment) still happening on Mac OS Catalina 10.15.4 with Etcher v.1.5.83 trying to flash -raspbian-buster-lite.img. I can use etcher to install one linux os and suucessfullt boot up and run. From what I read from internet, Apple has stated specifically during launch of Catalina that NO APP including system ones can move data without users explicit permission. hi i would like to create a multi boot up usb external drive on which I want to install multi linux os on it so I can select from start up disc after holding option key whilst doing a restart on my mac pro os x catalina. I did that.even disabled SIP and still didn’t work.
